Walking in his Footsteps (Protestant tour)

Day 1 – Arrival

 Arrival at Ben Gurion International airport. Meet & assist, transfer to Tel Aviv airport hotel and overnight.

 Overnight: Tel Aviv

Day 2 – Tel Aviv - Tiberias   

 After breakfast, check-out and leave the hotel. Drive to Caesarea - view the Roman Theatre and the Aqueduct. Continue to Haifa - view the Persian Gardens and Baha'i Shrine. Lunch en route at restaurant. Visit at the Elijah cave at Stella Maris and then to Nazareth visit - the Basilica of the Annunciation and continue to nearby Cana - site of the fist miracle at the wedding celebration. Arrive at the hotel in Tiberias for check-in and dinner.

 Overnight: Tiberias

Day 3 – Tiberias

 After breakfast, drive through the landscapes of Galilee to the Sea of Galilee. Visit Capernaum, Tabgha - the Church of the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fish and the expressive Church of the Beatitudes. We make a brief halt at the Church of Primacy of Peter. Visit the Kursi Beach – site of the miracle of the swines. Visit the site of Yardenit. St. Peter's fish lunch. Head for a boat ride in a replica of a Galilean fishing boat from the time of Jesus. Return to the hotel for dinner.

 Overnight: Tiberias

Day 4 – Tiberias - Jerusalem

 After breakfast, check-out and leave the hotel.  Drive south along the Great Syrian-African Break to the ancient city of Jericho, believed to be the oldest city on earth, with cable car climb to Mt. Quarantal, where Jesus spent 40 days when Satan tried to tempt him. It is also the place where Jesus stopped on his way to Jerusalem, on the eve of the Passover and where Jesus cured the blind man. See the Sycamore Tree. Descend to the Dead Sea the lowest point on earth (400 m. below sea level). Drive to the rock of Masada – the last Jewish stronghold against the Roman Empire. Up & down Masada with cable car. Lunch en-route at restaurant. Arrive at hotel for check-in and dinner. When at the hotel, enjoy a float in the Dead Sea. The high concentrations of calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium, bromine, iodine, and many other minerals found in the dense water makes it a natural source of health and beauty, providing cures for many human ailments.

 Overnight: Dead Sea

Day 5 – Dead Sea - Jerusalem

 After breakfast, check-out and leave the hotel. Start our day at a visit to Qumran – where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. Continue for a tour in Bethlehem visit the Church of Nativity and the Milk Grotto, Manger Square and the Shepherds Field. Lunch en-route at a restaurant.  Visit Ein Karem – birth place of John the Baptist, Church of the Visitation and St. John Church. Arrive at Jerusalem and start with a visit at the Mt of Olives with the Church of Ascension, the Pater Noster Church. Along the Sunday Palm Tree Road, by foot to the Gethsemane Gardens, visit the Church of All Nations and visit the Dominus Flevit Church. Arrive at the hotel for check-in and dinner.

 Overnight: Jerusalem

Day 6 – Jerusalem

 After breakfast,  leave the hotel and drive for a visit at the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial – museum of the greatest genocide of the Jewish people during World War II. Continue to the Old City to begin exploring the wonders of Jerusalem. View the Temple Mount and the Western Wall. Lunch en-route at a restaurant. Walk along the Via Dolorosa, see the Lithostroton pavement and visit St. Mark's Syrian Church. Visit the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, where Christ was crucified and buried – see the place of the Golgatha, where the 3 crosses stood, a good thief and a bad thief to each side of Jesus, where Jesus was taken down from the Cross, washed and buried. Return to the hotel for dinner.

 Overnight: Jerusalem

Day 7 – Jerusalem - Depart

 After breakfast, check-out and leave the hotel. Continue to tour Jerusalem,  drive to Mt Zion with the upper room and King David's Tomb. We also visit the church of St. Peter Gallicantum and the Church of Dormizion. Pass by the KNESSET – Israel's Parliament and view the MENORAH, the symbol of The State of Israel. Visit Caprice – diamond and factory shop. Continue to Ben Gurion International airport for departure flight back home.
